Malcolm Hunter preaches a Word in season in Matthew Chapter 7…
take the Plank out of your own eye before you take the speck out of your brotheer’s…
These words paint funny pictures in the mind, of people walking around with bits of wood sticking out of their eyes, but in reality, if anyone had a large block of wood hanging off their faces they would be in need of some serious help!!!
This is the thrust of the problem that Jesus identified in humanity… do you seek to help your brother? Then deal with your own sin first… or is it that you cannot see the plank in your eye? Why and how can one not notice a large impediment like that???
Malcolm opens up the Bible to reveal God’s truth about the planks and specks we carry…
The attack of Jesus on the Pharisees
The attack of Jesus on the Religous of the first centrury, those who “knew the Torah” those to whom the Prophets spoke… who were given a forensic detailed fortelling of the Messiah and yet they would not see Him
Do you see Him, will you see Him?

Malcolm Hunter brings God’s word to DCBC this week and explains the deep truths are no use to us carved up and divorced from each other. Their real power exists when they are taken as a complete picture and applied to life. Join DCBC as they discover the merciful nature of God and the Complete Picture Jesus gives us in the Beattitudes.
Malcolm Hunter brings us to Chapter 9 of Nehemiah, regarded as the centre peice of the book where the people are brought to God by God’s intervention in Human history to the Land promised and lost here regained, and to himself. They now are exposed and find themselves in repentance, humility and prayer because they recognise God is Holy and they desire relationship once more with God. The big idea “God who is from Everlasting to Everlasting” and His Plan to Call a people out of the world for His own treasured possession. The Bible starts with God, “In the Beginning, God…” Yet this God is unknowable, beyond our understanding Romans 11:33-36, he has made himself known to us! Malcolm presents us with some problems that we face with God’s Choice and our responses to His actions that we do not understand or agree with… and brings us through to the New Testament where again, we find ourselves at odds with the Plan and Purposes of God and are in need of the Gift of Repentance, Rethought, Reformation and revival. Join DCBC and allow your heart to be laid bare before The Holy Scriptures and see what God will do.
The reading was John chapter 21 where Jesus visits His disciples on the beach after His resurrection and cooks breakfast for them. Malcolm spoke of Peter being in a place of Spiritual denial having rejected Jesus so publicly. The message was that the Christian life isn’t one of no problems, but that things happen which can cause us to step away from God. We have been saved so we are not in the Enemy’s camp, but we are also not living fully in the presence and promises of God. This is a dangerous place to be in and we can be lead deeper into sin and further away from God. Where once we had fellowship with God, in this place there is only numbness. Satan is the one who leads us into this darkness and Jesus is the only way back into the fullness of God’s blessings. As we see with Peter in the passage, Jesus is the healer, restorer and redeemer.
Malcolm Brings us face to face with a primary need… to be comforted, but leads us to the true goal of that comfort – Christ and the Great Commission – Jesus promised to be with us, and that we need not be fearful, and to prove His word He Sends us the Holy Spirit And Power to comfort and propel us into life! Join DCBC today and find comfort… for life
Malcolm preaches through a difficult and offensive part of the bible… listen carefully as you hear the Bible tell it how it is and how we are to respond to it, as God would want us to.
Malcolm Hunter teaches the meaning of true ministry… and asks us “have we see it done a better way than how it is demonstrated through these four friends” be prepared to be humbled, challenged and blessed as you listen to God’s Word preached at DCBC… enjoy
